The UPE is accredited “A” by BAN-PT in 2017 with certification number 2802/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VIII/2017, valid until 15 August 2022.

Expected Learning Outcomes

At the end of the program, students will able to demonstrate the followings:

  1. Able to analyze economic phenomena by using a basic understanding of economic theories both in writing and in oral presentation using information technology
  2. Able to apply economic principles to choose the best available options in making strategic decisions in social life and in businesses.
  3. Able to implement standard procedures in conducting economic research
  4. Able to evaluate economic data in collaboration with colleagues and community members to find comprehensive solutions to economic problems.
  5. Able to apply tools of economic planning to assist local and national development planning and strategies.
  6. Able to construct an impact evaluation for economic policies by using standard quantitative and qualitative methods.
  7. Able to generate research and policy reports in accordance with the standard academic writing.
  8. Able to implement critical thinking to enhance life-long learning.
  9. Able to demonstrate proper ethical conduct with core value of Andalasian Characters for research and scientific professions.

Admission criteria:

-  High school graduates or equivalent (within two years from the completion date)

-  Pass the national university-entrance exams (SNMPTN, SBMPTN, or SMMPTN)

About eighty percent of UPE curriculum contents is similar to those two UPE due to KKNI and APSEPI (formerly Indonesian Department of Economic Development Consortium). The differences are in local contents and in specific competencies.

UPE uses these three UPEs mainly for the material contents of core economic tools and theories. Thus, UPE keeps implementing the current state of teaching materials.

Program structure and requirement

Bachelor in Economics (S.E.) requires minimum of 144 credits with 119 credits compulsory courses, including 6 credits undergraduate thesis, and 27 credits optional courses.
